Text Message Program
MAX3 Martial Arts
This page explains the text messages MAX3 Martial Arts sends to families, how you agree to receive them, and how to stop them at any time.
What we send
We send two kinds of text message, and you can control them separately.
- Membership and account messages. Schedule changes and class cancellations, class and testing reminders, billing and payment notices, and documents that need a signature — such as a waiver before a student's first class.
- Promotional messages. Free trial offers, events, seminars, camps, special offers, and program announcements. These are the ones you tick a box for, they are always optional, and you can switch them off on their own at any time and keep the rest.
How you opt in
There is exactly one way to join the promotional messages: you tick a box on one of our inquiry pages — hillcrest.max3martialarts.com or dawes.max3martialarts.com. The box is optional and never ticked for you — the form submits whether you tick it or not. Its label is:
“I consent to receive marketing text messages, calls and emails from MAX3 Martial Arts about our programs, events, and special offers. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
Links to these terms and to our privacy policy sit directly beneath that box, so you can read them before you decide.
Membership and account messages work differently, and are not part of that box. If your family enrols with us, the messages that keep your membership running — a cancelled class, an unsigned waiver, a payment that did not go through — come as part of the service you signed up for. We do not ask you to tick anything for those, and we do not send you offers under them. Replying STOP stops everything, including these.
As soon as we record your consent we send you a confirmation text, so you always have a record of when it started and how to stop it:
“Thanks for opting in to receive updates and offers from MAX3 Martial Arts! Msg & Data rates may apply. Text STOP to cancel. Text HELP for more information.”
We store the exact wording you agreed to, which box it was, and the date you agreed to it. There is no other way to join this text message program — we do not add numbers collected in person, over the phone, or from any purchased or shared list, and we never buy or receive phone numbers from anyone else.
Receiving promotional texts is never a condition of enrolling, purchasing, or attending — and you can switch those off on their own without losing schedule changes or billing notices. See below.
How to stop them
Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting that number — all of it, promotional and account messages alike.
If you only want the offers to stop, turn promotional texts off under More ▸ Notifications in the family app and keep schedule changes, billing notices, and waiver requests. Or ask any staff member at the front desk and we will switch them off for you. Staff can only ever switch messages off on your behalf — turning them on is something only you can do, on the form above.
Reply START to begin receiving messages again, or HELP for help and our contact details.
If you stop text messages, we will still reach you about your membership by email and in the family app — so you do not miss a cancelled class or an unsigned waiver.
Frequency, cost, and delivery
Message frequency varies with your family's activity — typically a few messages a month, more during testing weeks, event registration, or if something needs your attention. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan; we do not charge you for text messages. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Supported in the United States on all major carriers.
Your information
We use your mobile number to send you the messages described above and for nothing else. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or rent your mobile number or your consent to anyone. The messaging provider that delivers the texts acts solely on our instructions and may not use your number for any purpose of its own.
